For mouth and throat hygiene and gingivitis, use the 0.2% solution. Rinse with 10 ml for about 1 minute, twice daily, then spit out.

✔️ Mode of Action
Chlorhexidine is a highly effective cationic antimicrobial agent with broad-spectrum activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
At low concentrations, it acts as a bacteriostatic agent, disrupting bacterial cell membranes and causing leakage of essential ions.
At higher concentrations, it becomes bactericidal by binding to negatively charged bacterial cell walls, leading to cell death.
✔️ Side Effects
Possible side effects include oral mucosal irritation, tooth staining (reversible brown discoloration), tongue discoloration or burning sensation, temporary taste disturbance, and parotid gland swelling. Rarely, severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) may occur.
✔️ Contraindications
Not recommended for individuals with known hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine or any component of the formulation.
✔️ Drug Interactions
Effectiveness may be reduced when used with soaps, anionic agents, and compounds such as borates, bicarbonates, carbonates, chlorides, citrates, nitrates, phosphates, and sulfates.
✔️ Precautions & Warnings
Avoid contact with the eyes, middle ear, or sensitive tissues. Do not inject or use in body cavities. Refrain from eating, drinking, or brushing teeth immediately after use to ensure optimal effectiveness.
