Itrader contains itraconazole, a broad-spectrum antifungal agent. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. Disruption of the cell membrane leads to fungal cell damage and death, thereby clearing the infection.
Inform your doctor immediately if you experience yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine, persistent abdominal pain, allergic reactions, nerve pain, or hearing disturbances
Oropharyngeal candidiasis: 100 mg daily for 15 days
Vulvovaginal candidiasis: 200 mg twice daily for 1 day
Pityriasis versicolor: 200 mg daily for 7 days
Tinea corporis / Tinea cruris: 100 mg daily for 15 days
Tinea pedis / Tinea manuum:
100 mg daily for 30 days or
200 mg twice daily for 7 days
Fungal nail infections: 200 mg daily for 3 months
Systemic fungal infections: 100–200 mg once daily; up to 200 mg twice daily for severe infections
Prophylaxis in AIDS or neutropenic patients: 200 mg daily; may increase to 200 mg twice daily if required
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember.
If it is nearly time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
Do not take a double dose to compensate for a missed one.
Increase plasma levels of oral anticoagulants, digoxin, corticosteroids, benzodiazepines, antidiabetics, calcium channel blockers, and certain HIV protease inhibitors
Reduce effectiveness when used with enzyme inducers such as rifampicin, carbamazepine, phenytoin, phenobarbital, and nevirapine
Reduce absorption when taken with antacids, proton pump inhibitors, or H2-receptor antagonists
Increase risk of serious adverse effects, including QT prolongation, torsades de pointes, rhabdomyolysis (with statins), respiratory depression (with fentanyl), and ergot toxicity
Use with caution in patients with renal impairment, chronic lung disease, or a history of congestive heart failure
Liver function should be monitored during prolonged therapy
Since itraconazole is excreted in breast milk, the risks and benefits should be carefully considered in lactating women
