✅ Description:

Emazid L 10/5mg Tablet combination is used together with proper diet and exercise to treat high blood sugar levels caused by type 2 diabetes. It is also used to lower the risk of death in patients with type 2 diabetes and heart or blood vessel disease. Empagliflozin works in the kidneys to prevent glucose absorption (blood sugar). Linagliptin helps to control blood sugar levels by increasing substances in the body that make the pancreas release more insulin. It also signals the liver to stop producing sugar (glucose) when too much sugar is in the blood. This medicine does not help patients who have insulin-dependent or type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetic patients must use insulin injections.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Emazid L 10/5mg Tablet is a combination of two antidiabetic medicines: Empagliflozin and Linagliptin. Empagliflozin works by removing excess glucose from your body through urine. Linagliptin works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin.

Co-administration of Emazid L 10/5mg Tablet with insulin is considered risky as they increase the chance of hypoglycemia (decreased blood sugar levels). Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.
