✔️ Side Effects of Glikazid 80

• hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels)
• dizziness
• stomach pain, indigestion, diarrhea, or constipation

✔️ Glikazid 80 is not recommended for use if you:

• have type I diabetes (or insulin-dependent diabetes)
• have diabetic ketoacidosis (increased levels of sugar and ketone bodies in the blood)
• have a serious traumatic injury
• have G6PD deficiency (an inherited blood disorder)
• have porphyria (an inherited blood disorder)

✔️ Before taking Glikazid 80, inform your doctor if you

• are malnourished, starved, on an irregular diet, or feeling weak
• perform extreme physical exercises
• have hormonal problems (Ex., disorders of the pituitary gland, adrenal cortex, or thyroid gland)

✔️ Directions for Use:

• Take Glikazid 80 before meals or as advised by your physician
• Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine
• Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition
• Continue to take Glikazid 80 for the duration recommended by your doctor to achieve better control over blood sugar levels

✔️ Drug-Drug interactions:

Before taking GLYKIND XR 60MG TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines, such as:

• Anti-diabetics (Ex., metformin, insulin, glipizide, glibenclamide, dapagliflozin, teneligliptin)
• Antifungals (Ex., miconazole, fluconazole)
• John’s Wort
• Antibiotics (Ex. ciprofloxacin, moxifloxacin, clarithromycin, co-trimoxazole, rifampicin, chloramphenicol, tetracyclines)
• sulphonamides (Ex. sulphasalazine)
• Beta blockers (Ex. atenolol, propranolol)
• ACE inhibitors (Ex. captopril, enalapril)
• H2 blockers (Ex. ranitidine, cimetidine, famotidine)
• Monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors (Ex. moclobemide, isocarboxazid, phenelzine, tranylcypromine)
• NSAID’s (Ex. aspirin, phenylbutazone, ibuprofen, azapropazone)
• Cough preparations
• Antipsychotics (Ex. chlorpromazine, prochlorperazine, lithium)
• Corticosteroids (Ex. prednisolone, cortisone, betamethasone)
• Bronchodilators (Ex. salbutamol, terbutaline)
• β2-adrenoceptor agonist (Ex. ritodrine)
• Androgenic hormones (e.g., danazol)
• Anticoagulants (Ex., warfarin)
• Diuretics (e.g., bendroflumethiazide, hydrochlorothiazide, furosemide)
• Oral contraceptives (Ex. drospirenone, ethinylestradiol)
• Uricosurics (Ex. sulfinpyrazone)
• Nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitors (Ex. aminoglutethimide)
• Thyroid hormones (Ex. thyroxine)
• Octapeptides (Ex. octreotide)
• Androgens (Ex. testosterone)
• Anti-lipemic agents (Ex. clofibrate)
• Class 1a anti-arrhythmic agents (Ex. disopyramide)

✔️ Storage:

Keep out of the reach and sight of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date, which is stated on the carton and the blister.
