✅ Description:

  • Zoladex 3.6 Injection contains the active ingredient Goserelin, which belongs to a group of medicines called Luteinising hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) analogs. It is used to treat various conditions such as prostate cancer in men, breast cancer, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and infertility in combination with other medications to control the release of eggs from the ovaries in women.
  • Goserelin is a long-acting GnRH agonist and falls under the classification of LHRH agonists. These medications work by suppressing the production of luteinizing hormone from the pituitary gland. This action stimulates the release of testosterone from the testicles in men and the release of estrogen from the ovaries in women. The reduction in testosterone and estrogen levels inhibits the growth of cancer cells that depend on these hormones. It's important to note that Goserelin does not directly target the cancer cells but instead affects the testicles or ovaries.
  • In the treatment of prostate cancer, Zoladex 3.6 Injection is often used in combination with anti-androgen medications. These medications block the effects of testosterone.
  • Prior to receiving Zoladex 3.6 Injection, it is important to inform your doctor about any liver, kidney, or heart problems you may have. This medication is not recommended for use in children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers. The healthcare provider will administer the injection subcutaneously (under the skin) on the stomach every four weeks (28 days). Common side effects may include hot flashes, sweating, decreased sex drive, and bone thinning.

By decreasing testosterone levels, Zoladex helps inhibit the growth of cancer cells and alleviate urinary difficulties associated with prostate cancer.
  • Breast Cancer: Zoladex 3.6 Injection is employed to alleviate symptoms of breast cancer, such as breast lumps, nipple discharge, or changes in breast texture. It acts by modifying hormone production in the body, which is crucial for the growth and spread of breast cancer. Zoladex may interact with other hormones and directly affect cancer cells to impede their growth.
  • Endometriosis: Endometriosis is a condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows outside the uterus, leading to various symptoms such as lower stomach or back pain, painful periods, pain during and after sex, constipation, diarrhea, and nausea. Zoladex 3.6 Injection helps manage endometriosis by slowing down the growth of the uterine lining and endometrial tissue. Regular use of this medication, in conjunction with other treatments or procedures, can help alleviate the symptoms associated with endometriosis.
  • Uterine Fibroids: Zoladex 3.6 Injection is utilized to control symptoms related to uterine fibroids, non-cancerous growths that occur in the uterus during childbearing years. Symptoms of uterine fibroids include excessive menstrual bleeding and lower back pain. Zoladex works by inhibiting the action of an enzyme responsible for fibroid growth, resulting in a decrease in the size of existing fibroids and preventing further growth. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and instructions from your doctor to maximize the benefits of this medication.
  • Female Infertility: In the case of female infertility, Zoladex 3.6 Injection is used in combination with other medications to treat the condition. It helps regulate the release of eggs from the ovaries, increasing the chances of successful conception.
