Zoladex 3.6 Injection is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analog. In men, it works by reducing the amount of testosterone (hormone) that is produced by the body. In women, it works by reducing the amount of estrogen (hormone). LHRH agonists work by telling the pituitary gland located in the brain to stop producing luteinizing hormone, which stimulates the testicles to release testosterone in men and stimulates the ovaries to release estrogen in women.
Zoladex injection contains goserelin. This medicine acts by inhibiting the secretion of chemicals called gonadotropins from the pituitary gland in the brain, which has been shown to reduce tumor growth in animal studies. It also reduces the amount of sex hormones in the body that help with conditions like endometriosis, or infertility.
Zoladex 3.6 Injection will be injected by your doctor or nurse under the skin on your stomach every four weeks (28 days).
