Methsolon contains methylprednisolone, a synthetic glucocorticoid similar to the body’s natural hormones. It exerts:

Methsolon Injection is a fast-acting corticosteroid medication indicated for the treatment of a wide range of medical conditions due to its powerful anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties. Its therapeutic applications include:

✔️ Dosage & Administration Guidelines

• Routes: IV push, IV infusion, or IM injection
• High-dose therapy: 30 mg/kg IV over 30 minutes, repeated every 4–6 hours for up to 48 hours in life-threatening conditions
• Standard dose: 10–40 mg IV/IM, adjusted based on condition severity
• Pediatric dosing: 0.11–1.6 mg/kg/day in divided doses, minimum of 0.5 mg/kg/day
• Multiple sclerosis flare: 160 mg IV daily for 3 days

✔️ 🧪 Reconstitution Instructions

Add 8 mL (500 mg) or 16 mL (1 gm) of sterile Water for Injection

Shake well until fully dissolved

Administer immediately; discard any unused portion

• Systemic fungal infections
• Known hypersensitivity to methylprednisolone or excipients
• Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (IM route)
• Intrathecal administration is strictly prohibited
