✅ Description:
Ketoconazole inhibits the fungal enzyme 14-α-sterol demethylase, a cytochrome P-450–dependent enzyme required for ergosterol synthesis. Inhibition of ergosterol production disrupts fungal cell membrane integrity, increases membrane permeability, and leads to accumulation of toxic sterol metabolites. These effects impair membrane-bound enzyme systems, ultimately inhibiting fungal growth and viability.

Application Method:
- Shake well before use
- Wet the affected area
- Apply shampoo to the scalp/skin and the surrounding area
- Massage gently to form lather
- Leave for 5 minutes
- Rinse thoroughly with water
Treatment Regimens:
Seborrhoeic dermatitis & dandruff: Twice weekly for 2–4 weeks
Pityriasis versicolor: Once daily for 5 days
Prophylaxis:
