How does Dermomix Cream work?

Clobetasol Propionate + Terbinafine Hydrochloride + Ofloxacin+ Ornidazole contains four medicines namely Clobetasol, ofloxacin, ornidazole, and terbinafine. Clobetasol belongs to the class of corticosteroids that work by acting inside skin cells and inhibiting the release of certain chemical messengers in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that kills bacteria by stopping them from replicating and restoring themselves. Ornidazole is also an antibiotic that kills other infectious bacteria in addition to bacteria by harming the DNA. Terbinafine is an antifungal that prevents the growth of fungi by stopping them from developing their protective covering.

  • Wash your hands with soap before and after applying the cream.
  • Do not share your towel or clothes with anyone.
  • Wear clean clothes every day to prevent infection.
• Do not cover the area being treated with airtight dressings such as bandages unless directed by a doctor, as this may increase the risk of side effects.
• It is for use on the skin only. Do not use it in your eyes, mouth, or vagina. Rinse with cold water if you accidentally get it in these areas.
• If you think the area of skin you are treating has become more irritated and infected, you should stop using Terbinafine + Clobetasol + Ofloxacin + Ornidazole and consult your doctor.
• Do not use this medicine more often or for longer than advised by your doctor. Inform your doctor if the treated skin area does not improve after 2 weeks of treatment.
• Regularly change your socks and wash your feet. Avoid shoes that make your feet sweaty and hot.
• In wet places such as changing rooms and gym showers, don’t walk barefoot. Wear flip-flops or sandals to prevent fungal infections.
• Do not scratch the affected area of the skin, as it can spread the infection to other body parts.
• Avoid sharing towels, combs, bedsheets, shoes, or socks with others to prevent the spread of infection.
• Wash your bed sheets and towels regularly.
• Eat foods rich in quercetin (a flavonoid), such as apples, cherries, broccoli, spinach, and blueberries.
• Consuming food rich in probiotics helps develop the immune system against allergies.
• Limit intake of food that might trigger allergies, such as dairy products, soy, eggs, and nuts.
• Avoid the consumption of foods with excess sugar as it may flare up inflammation.
• Include fruits, vegetables, whole grains, healthy fats, and fish in your diet.
• Avoid getting in contact with harsh soaps, detergents, and rough fabrics.

Indication of Dermomix Cream

Dermomix Cream is the combination of four combinations Terbinafine, Clobetasol, Ofloxacin, and Ornidazole (0.05%+0.75%+2%+1%) which is being used to treat various skin infections and allergies.

• Terbinafine is an antifungal that acts by inhibiting fungus development. This drug is used to treat ringworm, athlete’s foot, and jock itch, among other fungal skin diseases.
• Clobetasol is a kind of steroid medication. It inhibits the synthesis of specific chemical messengers (prostaglandins), which cause the skin to become red, puffy, and itchy.
• Ofloxacin kills bacteria by stopping their cells from dividing and mending themselves. By disrupting their DNA,
• Ornidazole destroys parasites and anaerobic bacteria that cause illnesses.
• Terbinafine, Clobetasol, Ofloxacin and Ornidazole cream successfully treat the illness when used together.

Pharmacology

Antibacterial, antifungal, anti-protozoal, and anti-inflammatory properties are all included in this cream. Ofloxacin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that works against a wide range of bacteria, both gram-positive and gram-negative. Ornidazole is an antibiotic that belongs to the nitroimidazole family and is used to treat amoeba and trichomonas infections. Dosage & Administration of Dermomix Cream

• Dermomix Cream is only meant for external use and should be used as advised by your doctor.
• A thin layer of the medicine should be applied only to the affected areas twice daily. the skin with clean and dry hands.
