Serolux 50mg 1 Strip

✔️ Serolux is used to treat the following conditions:

• Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
• Panic Disorder (PD)
• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
• Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD)
• Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD)
  Note: Use only as prescribed by a registered physician.

✔️ Common side effects include:

• Upset stomach, diarrhea, constipation, vomiting
• Dry mouth, loss of appetite, weight changes
• Drowsiness, dizziness, headache
• Pain, burning, or tingling in hands or feet
• Sore throat, excitement

✔️ Dosage & Administration of Serolux 50

Adults

• Major Depressive Disorder: Starting dose: 50 mg; Therapeutic range: 50–200 mg
• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: Starting dose: 50 mg; Therapeutic range: 50–200 mg
• Panic Disorder, PTSD, SAD: Starting dose: 25 mg; Therapeutic range: 50–200 mg

Pediatric Patients (6–12 years)

• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder: Starting dose: 25 mg; Therapeutic range: 50–200 mg
• The interval between dose adjustments: 1 week

Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD):

• Starting dose: 50 mg/day
• Administration options:
  • Continuous: Daily throughout the menstrual cycle
  • Intermittent: Daily starting 14 days before menstruation until the onset of menses.
• Dosage adjustments:
  • Continuous: Increase by 50 mg increments up to 150 mg/day if needed.
  • Intermittent: Increase up to 100 mg/day in subsequent cycles if 50 mg/day is ineffective.

✔️ Serolux may interact with:

• Drugs highly bound to plasma proteins (e.g., Warfarin, Digitoxin): May alter plasma concentrations, increasing the risk of adverse effects.
• Cimetidine, CNS-active drugs (e.g., Diazepam), hypoglycemic drugs, Atenolol: Use with caution.

✔️ Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to Sertraline or its excipients
• Moderate to severe hepatic impairment

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

• No evidence of teratogenicity in animal studies, but safety in human pregnancy is not established.
• Sertraline is excreted in breast milk; discontinue breastfeeding if treatment is necessary.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

• Exercise caution with liver/kidney problems, seizures, heart issues, and allergies.
• May cause dizziness or drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery.
• Elderly patients may be more sensitive to the drug’s effects.
• Do not use Serolux if you have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) in the past five weeks.
• Monitor for suicidal thoughts or behavioral changes during the first 2–3 weeks of use.
