Description:

  • Lumona Oral Granules is a medication used to treat seasonal allergies and asthma. Allergies occur when the immune system reacts to harmless substances called allergens. Asthma is a lung and airway condition characterized by inflammation, airway narrowing, and increased mucus production, often triggered by viruses, allergens, or exercise.
  • The granules contain Montelukast, which is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking a chemical messenger called leukotriene, reducing inflammation and swelling in the airways. This helps in easier breathing and prevents asthma attacks. Leukotrienes are also released during allergic reactions to substances like dust or pollen. Lumona Oral Granules reduces the levels of leukotrienes, preventing allergy symptoms.
  • Take Lumona Oral Granules as prescribed by your doctor. The duration of treatment will depend on your medical condition and your doctor's instructions. The granules can be taken with or without food. Common side effects may include diarrhea, headache, abdominal cramps, flu-like symptoms, nausea, dizziness, and vomiting. Most of these side effects are temporary and do not require medical attention. However, if they persist, it is advisable to consult your doctor.
  • Before starting Lumona Oral Granules, inform your doctor if you have severe liver problems. Avoid combining Lumona Oral Granules with alcohol or other antidepressant medications, as it may affect your mental alertness. It is important not to stop taking the medication abruptly, even if you feel well, as sudden discontinuation may lead to an acute asthma attack. If you have any mental disorders, inform your doctor, as Lumona Oral Granules can cause mood changes such as anxiety, aggressive behavior, irritability, restlessness, and even depression. If you experience any of these symptoms, notify your doctor.

They are meant to be taken regularly as prescribed by your doctor to help prevent symptoms and maintain control over your condition.
