Diabetes is described as your body's inability to make and utilize enough insulin (a hormone produced by the pancreas), resulting in abnormal blood glucose levels. It can cause symptoms such as increased thirst, urine, and hunger, as well as hazy vision, numbness in the hands or feet, and exhaustion. Heart failure happens when the heart becomes too weak to pump enough blood to the lungs and the body.

Interactions

• Empa 10mg Tablet may interact with insulin, blood pressure medications (hydrochlorothiazide, amlodipine), water pills/diuretics (furosemide), antibiotics used to treat eye infections (gatifloxacin), antihypertensive (metoprolol), steroids (prednisolone), thyroid hormones, and other medications. So, before taking the Empa 10mg Tablet, see your doctor if you are on any of these medications.
• Taking Empa 10mg Tablet with alcoholic drinks may raise the risk of lactic acidosis (a build-up of lactic acid in the blood) and hypoglycemia, both of which are rare but potentially fatal conditions.
• Empa 10mg Tablet should be avoided in individuals with vitamin B12 deficiency, renal or liver difficulties, cardiovascular illness (heart problems), or low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), since it may exacerbate the situation.

Contraindications

Patients having a history of serious allergic reactions to Empagliflozin or any of its constituents, severe renal impairment, end-stage renal disease, or dialysis should not take Empagliflozin.

Pregnancy and Lactation
