Esonix Mups 20mg Tablet is used for the treatment of acid reflux disease, stomach and intestinal ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.

✔️ Pharmacology

• MUPS (Multiple-Unit Pellet Framework) refers to tablets compressed from modified-release coated multiparticulates.
• Clinical advantages include greater bioavailability, uniform emptying of pellets from the stomach into the small intestine, and rapid dissolution of enteric coating, resulting in early Tmax and Cmax.
• Combination of quick and sustained action, uniform drug release, once-daily dosing, and reduced risk of localized irritation.

✔️ Dosage & Administration of Esonix Mups 20mg Tablet

• Adults:
  • GERD: 20 mg once daily for 4 weeks.
  • Gastric ulcer: 20 mg once daily (4-8 weeks); severe cases may require twice daily.
  • Duodenal ulcer: 20 mg once daily (2-4 weeks); severe cases may require twice daily.
  • NSAID-induced ulceration: 20 mg once daily (4-8 weeks).
  • Reflux esophagitis: 20 mg once daily (4-8 weeks); severe cases may require twice daily.
  • H. pylori eradication: 20 mg twice daily (1 week) with Amoxicillin and Clarithromycin or Metronidazole.
  • Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: 60 mg once daily; usual maintenance 20-120 mg daily.
• Children (over 2 years old):
  • GERD (Acid regurgitation): 20 mg once daily (2-4 weeks).
  • Reflux esophagitis: 20 mg once daily (4-8 weeks).
• Take as prescribed by the doctor.
• Administered about an hour before a meal.
• Duration depends on the condition; use the lowest effective dose.

Potential interactions with CYP2C19-metabolized medicines should be considered when starting or stopping Omeprazole.
