✔️ Dosage & Administration of Ace 125mg Suppository
Rectal Suppository:
- Children 3 months - <1 year: 60-125 mg
- Children 1-<5 years: 125-250 mg
- Children 5-12 years: 250-500 mg
- Children over 12 years & Adults: 500 mg-1 g every 4-6 hours (max 4 g daily)
- Post-immunization fever (2-3 months old): 60 mg; a second dose may be given after 4-6 hours if needed

- Common: No common side effects when used correctly.
- Rare but serious:
- Blood disorders (thrombocytopenia, leucopenia, neutropenia)
- Liver toxicity and acute kidney damage (with overdose or prolonged use)
- Severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis)

- Reduces the effectiveness of anticonvulsants (phenytoin, carbamazepine).
- May enhance the blood-thinning effects of warfarin (increasing bleeding risk).
- Faster absorption with metoclopramide and domperidone.
- Increased risk of liver damage with alcohol.
- Reduced absorption with colestyramine (avoid within 1 hour of taking Ace 125).
