Myrica 50 is used to relieve nerve-related pain (neuropathic pain) caused by conditions such as diabetes, shingles (post-herpetic neuralgia), spinal cord injury, and other nerve disorders. It is also effective in managing fibromyalgia, a condition characterized by widespread muscle pain and stiffness.
Myrica 50 belongs to the antiepileptic class of medicines and is used as an add-on therapy for certain types of seizures. Additionally, it may be prescribed for generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) when other treatment options are unsuitable.

Myrica 50 contains pregabalin, which works by modulating calcium channels in nerve cells. This reduces the release of pain-related neurotransmitters, thereby decreasing abnormal nerve signaling.
In epilepsy, it helps suppress excessive electrical activity in the brain
In neuropathic pain, it interrupts pain signals from damaged nerves
In anxiety, it helps reduce the release of chemicals that trigger anxious feelings
If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember. If it is close to the time of your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose.
May enhance the sedative effects of benzodiazepines, opioids, and alcohol
Increased risk of edema and weight gain with thiazolidinediones
Higher risk of angioedema with ACE inhibitors
