Pharmacology

Expectorant Thyvy Syrup contains dry ivy leaf extract. It functions by releasing and thinning mucus in the nasal canal, windpipe, and lungs, which makes coughing easier. Additionally, it calms the airways. A sugar-free cough syrup acceptable for diabetics is Thyvy Syrup.

Dosage & Administration:

• Adults: Take 5-7.5ml (1-11/2 teaspoonful) 3 times daily.
• Children (6-9 years) & adolescents (>10 years): Take 5ml (1 teaspoonful) 3 times daily. 

Duration of Treatment:

Duration of treatment depends on the type and severity of the clinical picture; however, treatment should continue for at least one week even in minor inflammations of the respiratory tract. Treatment with this syrup should be maintained for 2-3 days after symptoms have subsided, in order to ensure the lasting success of therapy. Or, as directed by the registered physician.
