Dosage & Administration of Tusca Plus Syrup

Adult Dose:

• Adults: Take 2 teaspoons (tsp) of the syrup four times a day. For relief from nighttime cough, take 2 tsp at bedtime followed by 2 tsp every 6 hours.
• Hepatic dysfunction: Individuals with moderate to severe liver dysfunction should use this product with caution.

Child Dose:

• Children aged 12 years and older: Take 2 teaspoons (tsp) of the syrup four times a day. For relief from nighttime cough, take 2 tsp at bedtime followed by 2 tsp every 6 hours.
• Children under 12 years: The safety and efficacy of this product have not been established for this age group.

Renal Dose:

• Individuals with moderate to severe kidney dysfunction should use this product with caution.

Administration: 

• Take Tusca Plus Syrup as instructed by your doctor.
• Shake well before use.
• Use a measuring cup, spoon, or dropper for the exact quantity.
• Do not stop taking Tusca Plus Syrup on your own.

Interaction

Contraindications

• If you are allergic to diphenhydramine, ammonium chloride, sodium citrate, or any of the ingredients of Tusca Plus Syrup.
• If you are taking medicines like MAO inhibitors (Selegiline, Phenelzine, etc) which are used for psychiatric illness.
• If you have glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye which produces painful, red eyes and gradual vision loss).
• If you have ulcers in the stomach and intestine (symptoms like vomiting, acidity, indigestion, bleeding, black stool) or any problems related to your stomach.
• If you have prostate problems (conditions like benign prostatic hyperplasia which is characterized by difficulty in urination, frequent urge to go to urination, and dribbling of urine).
• If you have liver or kidney problems.
• If you have an asthma attack.
• If you are breastfeeding.
• If you are taking other sedating antihistamines medicines like Promethazine and Chlorpheniramine.

Pregnancy & Lactation

There is no information on the usage of this combination during pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions & Warnings

• Patients suffering from liver, kidney & prostate problems should avoid this combination.
• Alcohol must be avoided.
• If any other medicines like minor Tranquilisers, Barbiturates, or Codeine are taken, caution should be exercised.
• Patients taking this combination need to be careful while driving or operating machinery
