Aprocin 0.3% Eye/Ear Drops contains ciprofloxacin, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the eyes and ears. It is commonly prescribed for conditions such as bacterial conjunctivitis, corneal ulcers, otitis externa, and certain chronic middle-ear infections.
Aprocin works by preventing susceptible bacteria from multiplying and repairing their DNA, helping to eliminate the infection and relieve associated symptoms.
Use the drops regularly at the intervals prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop treatment early simply because your symptoms have improved. Avoid wearing contact lenses during treatment of an eye infection, and keep the ear dry when treating an ear infection.
No significant interaction with alcohol is expected from topical use. However, limiting alcohol may be advisable during an infection.
There is limited information regarding the use of topical ciprofloxacin during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using Aprocin. It should be used when the expected benefit outweighs any potential risk.
Consult your doctor before using Aprocin while breastfeeding.
Temporary blurred vision may occur immediately after applying the drops to the eye. Do not drive or operate machinery until your vision becomes clear.

Do not share the bottle with another person.
Apply the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is nearly time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular schedule.
Do not apply extra drops to compensate for a missed dose.
Accidentally applying a few extra drops is unlikely to cause serious problems. If too many drops are instilled into the eye, the excess may be gently rinsed away with clean/lukewarm water.
If the medicine is accidentally swallowed, particularly in a significant amount, seek medical advice.
Aprocin has limited systemic absorption when applied topically. However, if you are using other eye or ear preparations, they should generally be administered separately.
When using multiple eye drops, leave an interval of approximately 5–10 minutes between different preparations, or follow your doctor's specific instructions.
Store at 15°C–30°C, or according to the storage instructions provided on the product packaging.
