Kerasol is available by prescription and works to aid in the removal of excessive keratin from hyperkeratotic skin disorders. It is effective in treating a range of skin conditions, such as verrucae, various ichthyoses (including vulgaris, sex-linked, and lamellar), keratosis palmaris and plantaris, keratosis pilaris, and psoriasis.

✔️ Pharmacology:
- Salicylic Acid in Kerasol has a potent keratolytic action, which means it helps peel off the outer layer of the skin, particularly in conditions like warts and psoriasis.
- At low concentrations, Salicylic Acid promotes normal keratinization, and at higher concentrations, it causes the shedding of the skin.
- It works by increasing hydration in the skin, which leads to softening and desquamation (shedding) of the skin.
- Salicylic Acid also has weak antifungal and antibacterial properties.
