✔️ How does Facid 2% Ointment work?
Fusidic acid works by blocking bacterial protein synthesis. It interferes with the translocation process during protein elongation, ultimately inhibiting the growth and spread of infection-causing bacteria.
✔️ Side Effects:
Facid is generally well tolerated. However, some users may experience:
- Localized reactions: burning, redness, itching, irritation
- Rare: skin rashes or hypersensitivity
- These effects are usually temporary. If they persist, consult your doctor.
✔️ Dosage & Administration:
Adults & Children: Apply a thin layer of 2% ointment to the affected area 3–4 times daily. Using a gauze dressing may reduce the frequency to 1–2 times daily.
For External Use Only: Apply on clean, dry skin. Wash hands before and after application unless treating the hands themselves.
