Tritace is prescribed for:
- Managing high blood pressure (hypertension), either alone or with other antihypertensive agents.
- Treating congestive heart failure, especially when combined with diuretics.
- Managing patients showing signs of heart failure following an acute myocardial infarction.
- Slowing the progression of kidney disease in both diabetic and non-diabetic patients with renal involvement.
- Reducing cardiovascular risk in individuals with a history of heart disease, stroke, peripheral vascular disease, or diabetes with at least one risk factor like microalbuminuria, hypertension, or dyslipidemia.

Dosage should be tailored based on clinical response and tolerance.
For Hypertension:
Initial: 1.25–2.5 mg once daily (if not on a diuretic).
Maintenance: 2.5–20 mg/day (single or divided doses).
Post-MI Heart Failure:
Start within 48 hours: 2.5 mg twice daily.
If hypotension occurs: reduce to 1.25 mg twice daily.
Target: up to 5 mg twice daily.
Cardiovascular Risk Reduction:
Week 1: 2.5 mg once daily.
Weeks 2–4: 5 mg once daily.
Maintenance: up to 10 mg once daily.
Renal Impairment:
Hypertension: Start with 1.25 mg daily, max 5 mg/day.
Heart failure: Start with 1.25 mg daily, may increase up to 2.5 mg twice daily.
Administration: Swallow whole with water. May be taken with or without food. Do not crush or chew.
