✔️ Fast XR 665 mg is used for the relief of:

• Fever
• Mild to moderate pain
• Headache
• Toothache
• Muscle and body aches
• Osteoarthritis
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Chronic low back pain
• Migraine
• Neuropathic pain
• Renal stone pain
• Post-operative pain
• Common cold symptoms

✔️ Fast XR is generally well tolerated. Possible side effects include:

Common

• Stomach pain
• Nausea
• Vomiting

✔️ Rare but Serious Side Effects

• Thrombocytopenia
• Neutropenia
• Agranulocytosis
• Pancytopenia
• Low blood pressure
• Tachycardia
• Stevens-Johnson syndrome
• Toxic epidermal necrolysis
• Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP)
• Acute kidney injury
• Severe liver toxicity

✔️ Dosage of Fast XR

Adults

• Extended-release tablets: Two 665 mg tablets every 6–8 hours as needed.
• Maximum: Six extended-release tablets (3,990 mg) within 24 hours.

Children

• Over 12 years: Two extended-release tablets every 6–8 hours as prescribed.
• Younger children should receive age-appropriate formulations such as syrup, drops, or standard tablets under medical supervision.

Administration Tips

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
• It may be taken with or without food.
• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is nearly time for your next scheduled dose. Do not double the dose.

✔️ Use Fast XR 665 mg cautiously in patients with:

• Liver impairment
• Kidney disease
• Chronic alcoholism
• Severe malnutrition
• G6PD deficiency
• Severe hypovolaemia

✔️ Fast XR 665 mg may interact with:

• Warfarin and other coumarin anticoagulants: Increased anticoagulant effect with prolonged use.
• Phenytoin, carbamazepine, barbiturates: May reduce paracetamol levels and increase the risk of liver toxicity.
• Metoclopramide and domperidone: May increase paracetamol absorption.
• Probenecid: May increase paracetamol concentrations.
• Chloramphenicol: May increase chloramphenicol levels.
• Cholestyramine: May reduce paracetamol absorption if taken within one hour.
• Phenothiazines: May increase the risk of severe hypothermia.

✔️ Do not use Fast XR 665 mg if you have:

• Hypersensitivity or allergy to paracetamol or any of its ingredients.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

Paracetamol is generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding when used at the recommended dose. However, it should only be used when clearly needed and under medical advice.

✔️ Storage:

• Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place.
• Protect from moisture and direct sunlight.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not use after the expiry date.
