✔️ Contraindications

• If you are allergic to human chorionic gonadotropin or any of the other ingredients of HCG Injection.
• If you have a tumour of the hypothalamus or pituitary gland (in the brain).
• If you have a cyst in the ovaries.
• If you have vaginal bleeding due to an unknown reason.
• If you have breast, ovarian, or womb cancer.
• If you had an extrauterine pregnancy (pregnancy outside of your womb) recently.
• If you have swelling of your veins or blood clotting in your veins.
• If you are unable to get pregnant due to menopause, early menopause, or abnormal function of sexual organs.

✔️ How does HCG 10000 IU Injection work?

HCG 10000 IU Injection is similar to a hormone that is naturally found in your body called chorionic gonadotropin, which helps in reproduction and fertility.

HCG 10000 IU Injection binds to the ovary cells at a receptor in the body that is shared with a hormone called luteinizing hormone, which helps in pregnancy and puberty.

✔️ Talk to your doctor if

• Do you have any blood clot problems, like swelling of your veins or blood clotting in your veins?
• Before starting HCG 10000 IU Injection, you and your partner should get the fertility test done.
• The risk of getting Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS) may increase.
• When taking HCG 10000 IU Injection, you may be at risk of being pregnant with more than one child (twins, triplets).
• You should have an early ultrasound done to check for the possibility of ectopic pregnancy pregnancy outside the womb.
• The risk of miscarriage may increase when using Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART) to get pregnant as compared to normal pregnancy.
• When you get a pregnancy test done using serum or urine while using this medicine, or even 10 days after using it, there may be a possibility that you get a false-positive test result.

✔️ Directions for Use: HCG 10000 IU Injection

Always receive HCG 10000 IU Injection under the supervision of a qualified doctor or nurse. Do not attempt to self-inject, as improper administration may affect treatment outcomes and increase the risk of complications.

Inform your doctor about all other medicines, supplements, or herbal products you are taking. Some substances may interfere with the effectiveness of the injection or increase the risk of side effects.

Monitor your body closely and report any unusual symptoms such as severe abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, rapid weight gain, or swelling, as these may indicate Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS), which requires immediate medical attention.

Attend all scheduled follow-up visits, blood tests, and ultrasounds as advised by your doctor. Regular monitoring helps assess your response to treatment and reduces the risk of complications.

Avoid using this medicine if you're already pregnant unless your doctor specifically advises otherwise. Also, note that this medicine may temporarily alter pregnancy test results, causing false-positive readings.

✔️ Dosage of HCG 10000 IU Injection

In females:

• Ovulation induction and preparation of follicles for puncture: Usually, one injection of 5000-10000 IU Human Menopausal Gonadotrophin to complete treatment with an FSH-containing preparation.
• Luteal phase support: Two repeat injections of 2500 to 5000 IU. Each may be given within nine days following ovulation or embryo transfer (for example on day 3, 6 and 9 after ovulation induction).
• Threatened & habitual abortion:  5000IU Human Menopausal Gonadotrophin will be given as a deep intramuscular injection twice weekly from the time of diagnosis (all before the 7th week of gestation)

In the male:

• Hypogonadotropic hypogonadism: 2500 to 5000 IU Human Menopausal Gonadotrophin, two times per week. If the main complaint is sterility, additional doses of an FSH-containing (50IU FSH) are to be administered daily or two to three times a week. This treatment should be continued for at least three months before any improvement in spermatogenesis can be expected. During this treatment, testosterone replacement therapy should be suspended. Once achieved, the improvement may in some cases be maintained by Human Menopausal Gonadotrophin alone.

✔️ Storage:

There are two options: Store at 2°C-8°C (in a refrigerator). Do not freeze. Store below 25°C for a single period of no more than 3 months. Protect from light & keep in a dry place.
