✔️ How Ezygo 10 Works

Ezygo 10 contains Sodium Picosulfate, a stimulant laxative that works locally in the intestine. It stimulates the lining of the large intestine and rectum, increasing bowel movement (peristalsis) and promoting stool evacuation.

✔️ Dosage & Administration

Adult Dose

Constipation

• 5–10 mg once daily, usually at night

Bowel Preparation Before Procedures

• 10 mg with magnesium citrate, taken in the morning and afternoon before the procedure

Pediatric Dose

Constipation

• 1 month to <4 years: 0.25 mg/kg (maximum 5 mg)
• 4–10 years: 2.5–5 mg
• Above 10 years: 5–10 mg

Doses are usually administered at night.

• Take the medicine as prescribed by your doctor
• Swallow the tablet whole with water
• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet
• Can be taken with or without food
• Preferably taken at bedtime, as it usually works within 6–8 hours

• Headache
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Abdominal pain or cramps
• Diarrhea
• Rare allergic reactions such as skin rash or angioedema

Most side effects are mild and temporary.

✔️ Interaction

• Diuretics and corticosteroids may increase the risk of electrolyte imbalance
• Electrolyte disturbances may enhance sensitivity to cardiac glycosides
• Antibiotics may reduce the laxative effect of sodium picosulfate

✔️ Ezygo 10 should not be used in patients with:

• Acute inflammatory bowel disease
• Severe dehydration
• Intestinal obstruction or ileus
• Severe abdominal pain associated with fever, nausea, or vomiting
• Suspected appendicitis

✔️ Use with caution in:

• Children
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women
• Patients with prolonged bowel habit changes
• Individuals with abdominal pain or intestinal disorders

Avoid prolonged use for more than one week unless advised by a doctor, as dependency on laxatives may develop.

Take Ezygo 10 at least 2 hours apart from other medicines since it may interfere with their absorption.
