✅ Description:
Vitamin D₃ deficiency commonly occurs in individuals with limited sun exposure or inadequate dietary intake. Vital-D helps restore optimal vitamin D levels, supporting bone health, immunity, and overall well-being.
- Vitamin D₃ (cholecalciferol) is converted in the body to its active form, calcitriol, which binds to Vitamin D receptors (VDRs) present in multiple tissues.
- Absorbed from the small intestine
- Transported to the liver and converted to 25-hydroxy vitamin D₃ (calcidiol)
- Further activated in the kidneys to 1,25-dihydroxy vitamin D₃ (calcitriol)
- Stored in fat and muscle due to its fat-soluble nature
- Eliminated via urine and feces
- Approximate half-life: 50 days

Adults
Treatment: 40,000 IU once weekly for 7 weeks

Children (12–18 years)
Treatment: 20,000 IU every 2 weeks for 6 weeks

Generally well tolerated. Rare effects may include:
- Nausea, vomiting, headache

- Loss of appetite
