Indication of Levostar Syrup

Since the safety and effectiveness of usage have not been shown in clinical studies, it is not advised that this medication be given to children less than 6 years old.

Pharmacology

The single isomer beta 2-agonist levosalbutamol differs from racemic salbutamol by the end of (S)-salbutamol. The key component of the action of the potent bronchodilator levosalbutamol is unrestricted by (S)-salbutamol. With measures that dramatically lower beta-mediated adverse effects, clinically similar bronchodilation can be achieved when compared to racemic salbutamol.

Dosgae & Administration of Levostar Syrup
  • 5 to 10 ml three times per day for adults.
  • Children aged 6 to 11: 5 ml three times per day.
