Indication of Levostar Syrup

Pharmacology

The single isomer beta 2-agonist levosalbutamol differs from racemic salbutamol by the end of (S)-salbutamol. The key component of the action of the potent bronchodilator levosalbutamol is unrestricted by (S)-salbutamol. With measures that dramatically lower beta-mediated adverse effects, clinically similar bronchodilation can be achieved when compared to racemic salbutamol.

Dosgae & Administration of Levostar Syrup

• 5 to 10 ml three times per day for adults.
• Children aged 6 to 11: 5 ml three times per day.

Interaction

• Antidepressants, heart-related medications (Digoxin), anesthetics, water pills, anti-hypertensives, and sympathomimetic drugs may interact with Levostar Syrup. (Epinephrine).
• Alcohol use should be restricted or avoided since it might exacerbate adverse effects including drowsiness and trembling.

Precautions & Warnings

Before using Levostar Syrup, tell your doctor if you have any heart, liver, or kidney disorders, hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid), hypokalaemia, stomach ulcer, seizures (fits), high blood pressure, or diabetes. Levostar Syrup should be taken cautiously since bronchodilators may induce hypokalaemia (low potassium levels in the blood) in some people, which can result in serious cardiac disorders. Levostar Syrup may elevate blood sugar levels. If you have diabetes, please keep an eye on your blood glucose levels and let your doctor know so that the dose may be adjusted appropriately. Additionally, before beginning Levostar Syrup, let your doctor know if you intend to get pregnant, are already pregnant, or are a nursing mother. Levostar Syrup may make you drowsy and dizzy, impairing your ability to drive and operate machinery. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking Levostar Syrup since it might make you feel more sleepy and impair your cognitive function. Children under the age of six should not use Levostar Syrup.
