✅ Description:
The recommended dose depends on the condition being treated:
- Osteoarthritis: 30 mg once daily; may be increased to 60 mg if needed.
- Rheumatoid arthritis: 90 mg once daily.
- Ankylosing spondylitis: 90 mg once daily.
- Acute gouty arthritis: 120 mg once daily, for a maximum of 8 days in clinical trials.
- Dental surgery pain: 90 mg once daily, for a maximum of 3 days.
Etovan can be taken with or without food. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration, as directed by a registered physician.

Possible side effects include palpitations, fatigue, flu-like symptoms, bruising, dry mouth, mouth ulcers, changes in appetite or weight, flushing, cough, shortness of breath, anxiety, tingling sensations, muscle pain, and joint pain. Rarely, confusion or hallucinations may occur.
Seek urgent medical attention for chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of gastrointestinal bleeding, severe allergic reactions, or sudden neurological symptoms.
✔️ Contraindications
Etovan is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to etoricoxib, active peptic ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding, severe liver or kidney impairment, uncontrolled hypertension, certain cardiovascular diseases, congestive heart failure, inflammatory bowel disease, and pregnancy or breastfeeding. It is not recommended for children under 16 years of age.
✔️ Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Etoricoxib is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Women trying to conceive should consult their physician before using this medicine.
✔️ Precautions and Warnings
- Use cautiously in patients with hypertension, heart failure, kidney or liver problems, or a history of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding.
- Patients with diabetes, high cholesterol, a history, or other cardiovascular risk factors require careful medical assessment.
- Etovan may increase blood pressure, cause fluid retention, and increase the risk of cardiovascular events.
- It may affect kidney function and interact with warfarin, lithium, diuretics, ACE inhibitors, and angiotensin II receptor blockers.
- Avoid combining it with other NSAIDs unless specifically advised by a physician.
