How does Revofer 500mg/10ml Injection work?

Revofer 500mg/10ml Injection contains iron in the form of Ferric carboxymaltose. Iron is an essential micronutrient that gives the red blood cells a reddish-brown color and the capacity to transport oxygen. It improves oxygen levels in the body and corrects tiredness, weakness, and shortness of breath caused due to anemia.

Side Effects of Revofer 500mg/10ml Injection
  • Common: Nausea, hypertension, flushing, dizziness, vomiting, pruritus, rash, urticaria, wheezing, injection site discoloration, headache.
  • Serious anaphylactic/anaphylactoid reactions are reported rarely.
Quick Suggestions:
  • Revofer is an iron replacement medication used for iron deficiency anemia.
  • Administered via injection or infusion under medical supervision.
  • Common side effects include injection site reactions, nausea, vomiting, headache, and dizziness.
  • Not suitable if anemia is not caused by iron deficiency.
  • Inform your doctor about existing medical conditions before treatment.
  • Tests will be conducted to monitor blood cells, iron levels, and treatment progress.
Indications:

Anaemia occurs when your body lacks enough red blood cells to effectively transport oxygen. Insufficient iron intake, either due to poor nutrition or absorption issues, can lead to decreased red blood cell production and anemia. Revofer 500mg/10ml Injection is an iron replacement product designed to address this deficiency.

By boosting red blood cell levels, Revofer can alleviate symptoms of anemia such as fatigue and weakness. Typically administered by a doctor or nurse via injection, the treatment regimen often involves two doses spaced 7 days apart. It's crucial to attend all scheduled appointments for optimal management of your condition.

However, it's important to note that Revofer should not be used if your anemia is not caused by iron deficiency. Always follow your healthcare provider's recommendations regarding treatment options for your specific condition.
