✅ Description:
Fluticasone Propionate 50 mcg/spray is indicated for:
- Prevention and treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis
- Prevention of recurrence of nasal polyps following surgical removal
- Fluticasone Propionate 93 mcg/spray is indicated for:
- Treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis, with or without nasal polyps, in adults
After intranasal administration, fluticasone propionate exerts local anti-inflammatory and vasoconstrictive effects on the nasal mucosa. Although the exact mechanism is not fully understood, its action is believed to involve:
- Reduction in inflammatory mediator cells (eosinophils, mast cells, basophils, leukocytes)
- Decreased sensitivity of sensory nerves
- Suppression of glandular secretion
- Inhibition of capillary dilation and permeability
- Stabilization of lysosomal membranes, preventing enzyme release
These effects collectively reduce nasal congestion, swelling, and inflammation.

✔️ Cleaning Process Fluticasone Propionate Spray
- Clean the nasal applicator at least once weekly
- Wash the nozzle and cap in warm water, shake off excess water, and allow to air-dry
- Reattach the applicator and replace the dust cover
- Do not use heat to dry the parts
✔️ Dosage & Administration
Fluticasone Propionate 50 mcg/spray
Adults:
2 sprays in each nostril once daily (preferably in the morning)
In some cases, may be increased to twice daily
Maximum daily dose: 200 mcg (4 sprays)
Children (4–11 years):
1 spray in each nostril once daily
May be increased to twice daily if required
Maximum daily dose: 100 mcg (2 sprays)
Children below 4 years:
Safety and efficacy have not been established

1–2 sprays in each nostril twice daily
Maximum daily dose: 744 mcg

✔️ Method of Administration (How to Use)
- Shake the bottle gently and remove the dust cap.
- If using for the first time or after a break of one week, prime the spray until a fine mist appears.
- Gently blow the nose to clear the nostrils.
- Close one nostril and insert the applicator into the other nostril.
- Tilt the head slightly forward and keep the bottle upright.
- Breathe in through the nose while pressing the applicator once.
- Breathe out through the mouth.
- Repeat for the other nostril if required.

Lactation: It is unknown whether fluticasone propionate is excreted in human milk. Caution is advised when used during breastfeeding.
