✅ Description:
Sinazid 80 mg is an oral antidiabetic medicine used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It belongs to the sulfonylurea class, which helps control blood glucose levels and reduces the risk of long-term diabetic complications such as kidney damage, nerve problems, and vision loss.
It may be used alone or in combination with other antidiabetic medications as prescribed by a physician.
The usual initial dose is 40 to 80 mg daily. The dose can be increased up to 320 mg daily in divided doses when needed. The drug should be taken before meal. For children, Gliclazide is not used because it is contraindicated in juvenile-onset diabetes.
