Capsules:

Adult Doses:

• NSAID-associated ulceration: 20 mg once in the morning.

Maintenance is 20 mg per day (after healing of esophagitis) or 10 mg per day (for acid reflux). All doses are to be taken once in the morning.
• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome: Initially, 60 mg once in the morning, and the dose can be adjusted as required within the range of 20-120 mg per day. Doses exceeding 80 mg are administered in two divided doses.
• Prophylaxis of acid aspiration during general anesthesia: 40 mg given in the evening and another 40 mg 2-6 hours before the operation.
• Acid-related dyspepsia: 10 or 20 mg once in the morning for 2-4 weeks.
• Erosive esophagitis: 20 mg per day for 4-8 weeks. Maintenance of healing is 20 mg per day for up to 12 months.

H. pylori infection:

• Omeprazole can be used as part of triple therapy or dual therapy with antibiotics for various durations. Specific dosages may vary depending on the antibiotics used in combination.
