✔️ How does Emosoft Ointment work?

Liquid Paraffin + White Soft Paraffin is a combination of liquid paraffin and white soft paraffin. Liquid paraffin is an emollient (a substance that soothes or softens the skin). It prevents water loss from the outer layer of the skin. This relieves dryness and leaves the skin hydrated and soft. White soft paraffin provides a layer of oil on the outer layer of the skin to prevent water from evaporating from the skin's surface.

• Do not apply Liquid Paraffin + White Soft Paraffin to large areas of skin or near sensitive areas, such as private parts or on broken or injured skin.
• Remember to wash your hands after applying Liquid Paraffin + White Soft Paraffin, unless hands are the treated area.
• Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and nose, and rinse thoroughly in case of accidental contact or seek medical help in case of swallowing.
• Do not smoke or go near naked flames, as Liquid Paraffin + White Soft Paraffin increases the risk of severe burns.
• Dry skin can worsen the itch; therefore, do not scratch as scratching will generally make it worse. If scratching is irresistible, rubbing the itchy area with an ice cube might help.

White Soft Paraffin and Liquid Paraffin function as emollients with occlusive properties, making them suitable for topical application. These products are not significantly absorbed systemically, but they do have a notable penetrating effect on the outermost layer of the skin, known as the stratum corneum.

✔️ Dosage & Administration of Emosoft Ointment

Apply a thin layer of the ointment to the affected area of the skin following the direction of hair growth as needed. The product can be reapplied as necessary, ideally three to four times a day or at least twice a day. For adults with widespread skin issues, up to 500 grams per week can be used. It's important to note that this product is intended for topical use only.
