✔️ How Dclot Tablet Works

Clopidogrel is a prodrug, meaning it becomes active after being metabolized in the body. Its active metabolite irreversibly blocks the P2Y12 ADP receptor on platelets, preventing platelet activation and aggregation. This antiplatelet effect reduces the formation of blood clots and helps maintain healthy blood circulation.

✔️ Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Pregnancy

• Use only if clearly needed and prescribed by a healthcare professional.
• Limited data are available regarding safety during pregnancy.

Breastfeeding

• It is not known whether Clopidogrel passes into breast milk.
• Consult your doctor to determine whether breastfeeding or treatment should be discontinued.

✔️ Dosage and Administration

Take Dclot Tablet exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider.

Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)

• Loading dose: 300 mg (four 75 mg tablets) taken once.
• Maintenance dose: 75 mg once daily thereafter.

Using a loading dose helps achieve antiplatelet effects more rapidly.

Recent Heart Attack, Recent Stroke, or Peripheral Arterial Disease

• 75 mg once daily.

• Elderly Patients: No routine dosage adjustment is required.
• Children: Safety and effectiveness have not been established.

Administration Instructions

• Can be taken with or without food.
• Take the tablet at the same time each day.
• Do not stop taking the medicine without medical advice.

• Bleeding or easy bruising
• Diarrhea
• Stomach discomfort
• Gastrointestinal bleeding
• Skin reactions such as rash
• Severe bleeding
• Anemia
• Acquired hemophilia
• Angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat)
• Arthritis or joint pain
• Bone marrow disorders
• Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (TTP)

✔️ Do not use Dclot Tablet if you have:

• Allergy to Clopidogrel or any ingredient in the tablet.
• Active bleeding, including:
  • Peptic ulcer bleeding
  • Intracranial hemorrhage (bleeding in the brain)

✔️ Safety Information:

• Clopidogrel's effectiveness may be reduced in individuals with certain CYP2C19 genetic variations or when taken with CYP2C19 inhibitors.
• The medicine affects platelet function for approximately 7–10 days, increasing bleeding risk.
• Inform your doctor before any surgery or dental procedure.
• For planned surgeries with significant bleeding risk, treatment is generally stopped 5 days before surgery under medical supervision.
• Watch for signs of unusual bleeding, bruising, or allergic reactions.
