✔️ Quick Suggestions:

• Use mild soap while taking baths and prefer warm baths.
• Always wear loose-fitting clothes to avoid further sweat and spread of skin infection.
• Regularly change your socks and wash your feet. Avoid shoes that make your feet sweaty and hot.
• Do not walk barefoot at places like gym showers to prevent infections.
• Do not scratch the affected area of the skin as it can spread the infection to other body parts.
• Avoid sharing towels, combs, bed sheets, shoes or socks with others.
• Wash your bed sheets and towels regularly.
• Avoid or limit the intake of alcohol and caffeine.
• Manage stress, eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise regularly, and get plenty of sleep.

✔️ Eczema (Atopic Dermatitis)

Eczema is a condition in which skin patches become inflamed, itchy, cracked, and rough. Symptoms include a rash on the arms and behind the knees. Eczema can be triggered by various factors like foods, drinks, skin products, soaps, chemicals, detergents, make-up products, chlorinated pools, and stress.

✔️ Psorisosis

Psoriasis is a skin disorder in which skin cells multiply and form bumpy (uneven) red patches covered with white scales. Psoriasis symptoms include red patches on the skin, dry, cracked skin, swollen joints, and an itching sensation. 

✔️ Pharmacology

Dermasol Plus Ointment contains Clobetasol Propionate, a high-potency corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, and Salicylic Acid, which has keratolytic and mild antiseptic effects. Clobetasol Propionate works by stabilizing the lysosomal membranes of leukocytes, thereby reducing inflammation. Salicylic Acid helps by softening and removing the outer layer of the skin.

✔️ How to apply

• This ointment is for external use only.
• Wash your hands before applying the ointment.
• Apply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected area.
• Gently rub it in.
• Do not cover the treated area with airtight dressings unless recommended by your doctor.
• Do not apply the ointment on the face, groin, or axillae unless advised by your doctor.

✔️ Contraindications

Dermasol Plus Ointment is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Clobetasol Propionate or Salicylic Acid, primary infected bacterial or fungal skin lesions without concurrent use of anti-infective agents, primary viral skin infections, tuberculosis skin lesions, and in children under one year of age.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

The safety of using Clobetasol Propionate during pregnancy and breastfeeding has not been established. Use only if the expected benefit outweighs the possible risk. The safety of Salicylic Acid during pregnancy and lactation has also not been established, so use with caution.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

Avoid long-term use, high concentrations, or application over large areas of the body. Do not apply to damaged skin, mouth, eyes, mucous membranes, or anogenital area. Use cautiously if you have altered peripheral circulation or diabetes.
