✔️ Description:

Todol belongs to the pyrrolo-pyrrole group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Chemically, it is known as 5-benzoyle-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrroligine-1-carboxylic acid, compound with 2-amino-2-(hydroxymethyl)-1,3-propanediol.

• Mechanism of Action: Todol inhibits the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzyme system, which reduces prostaglandin synthesis. This action helps alleviate pain and inflammation but with minimal anti-inflammatory effects at analgesic doses.
• Pharmacokinetics: The drug is highly protein-bound and is metabolized in the liver. Both metabolized products and some unchanged drugs are excreted via urine.
• Biological Activity: The S-form of Todol is responsible for its biological effect. The drug's pharmacokinetic properties are linear.

✔️ Dosage & Administration

• Recommended dose: 10 mg every 4-6 hours.
• Limit use to short-term (up to 7 days); avoid long-term use.
• Do not exceed 40 mg/day.
