Nameton 750 Tablet

✔️ Dosage

Adults

Osteoarthritis

• Initial dose: 1 g once daily by mouth
• Maintenance dose: 1–2 g daily, taken as a single dose or divided into two doses
• Maximum dose: 2 g daily

Rheumatoid Arthritis

• Initial dose: 1 g once daily by mouth
• Maintenance dose: 1–2 g daily, administered once daily or every 12 hours in divided doses
• Maximum dose: 2 g daily

Elderly Patients

• Some individuals may respond adequately to 500 mg daily
• Maximum recommended dose: 1 g daily

Patients with Kidney Impairment

Creatinine Clearance 30–49 mL/min

• Initial dose: up to 750 mg once daily
• Maximum dose: 1.5 g daily

Creatinine Clearance Below 30 mL/min

• Initial dose: up to 500 mg once daily
• Maximum dose: 1 g daily

Children

Use in children is not recommended.

✔️ Directions for Use:

• Swallow the tablet whole with water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet.
• Always take it with food or milk to reduce the risk of stomach irritation.
• Follow the prescribed dose and duration carefully.

✔️ Nameton may interact with several medications, including:

Potentially Serious Interactions

• Anticoagulants such as warfarin and heparin
• Antiplatelet drugs including aspirin and clopidogrel
• Corticosteroids
• Methotrexate

These combinations may significantly increase the risk of bleeding, gastrointestinal ulcers, or severe toxicity.

Other Interactions

• Blood pressure medications (reduced effectiveness)
• Diuretics (decreased effectiveness)
• Cyclosporine (increased blood levels)
• Fluoroquinolone antibiotics (higher risk of seizures)
• Alcohol (greater stomach irritation)
• Low-dose aspirin (reduced cardioprotective effect)

✔️ Nameton is classified as:

• Pregnancy Category C during most of pregnancy
• Pregnancy Category D when used near term or for prolonged periods because it may cause premature closure of the fetal ductus arteriosus

Pregnant women should use this medication only when clearly needed and under medical supervision.

✔️ Nameton should not be used in patients with

• Allergy to aspirin or other NSAIDs
• Severe kidney impairment
• Pain occurring after coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery

Use with caution in patients with:

• Peptic or gastric ulcers
• Stomatitis
• Ulcerative colitis
• Systemic lupus erythematosus
• Late-stage pregnancy

✔️ Use Nameton carefully if you have:

• Heart disease or cardiovascular risk factors
• History of stroke
• High blood pressure
• Congestive heart failure
• Fluid retention
• Kidney disease
• Liver disease
• Asthma
• Previous stomach ulcers or gastrointestinal bleeding
• Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
• Ulcerative colitis

Elderly or debilitated individuals may be more susceptible to adverse effects.

Patients receiving long-term treatment may require regular monitoring of:

• Kidney function
• Liver function
• Blood cell counts
