Salitic (16.7%+16.7%) Solution

Salitic topical solution is used for the treatment of warts, corns, and calluses. Warts are caused by viral infections of the skin, while corns and calluses develop due to repeated friction or pressure, most commonly on the feet and hands.

• Apply the solution once daily using the supplied brush applicator.
• Before application:
  • Soak the affected area in warm water for about 5 minutes.
  • Gently remove dead or hardened skin using a pumice stone or emery board.
  • Dry the area thoroughly.
• Apply carefully to the lesion, avoiding healthy surrounding skin.
• Allow the solution to dry completely and cover with a plaster if needed.
• Continue daily treatment until the lesion disappears and normal skin markings return.
• Treatment may typically require 6–12 weeks.

Drug Interactions
Salitic may increase the absorption of other topical medications applied to the same area. Therefore, simultaneous use with other topical products on the treated site should be avoided. Significant interactions with oral or systemic medicines are unlikely due to minimal systemic absorption.

Contraindications
Do not use Salitic if:

• You are allergic to any of its ingredients.
• The skin is broken, inflamed, infected, or irritated.
• The lesion is located on the face, genital area, mucous membranes, moles, birthmarks, or unusual skin growths.
• The wart contains hair, has red borders, or appears unusually colored.

Avoid contact with healthy skin and eyes. Patients with diabetes, poor circulation, or peripheral neuropathy should only use this product under medical supervision.

Side Effects
Common side effects may include:

• Burning or stinging sensation
• Itching
• Redness
• Dryness and peeling of the skin
• Application-site irritation
• Rash
• Thickening of the skin

Excessive use or accidental ingestion may lead to salicylate toxicity.

Pregnancy & Lactation
The safety of Salitic during pregnancy has not been established. Its use is generally not recommended during pregnancy unless advised by a healthcare professional. Salicylates can pass into breast milk; therefore, caution is advised during breastfeeding, and application near the breast area should be avoided.

Overdose
Excessive application may cause irritation or burning of surrounding healthy skin. Accidental ingestion may result in nausea, vomiting, and abdominal discomfort. Seek medical attention if overdose is suspected.

Storage Conditions
Store below 25°C in a cool place away from heat and open flames, as the solution is highly flammable. Keep the bottle tightly closed after use and out of the reach of children.
