Menocool is used to manage moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause, including hot flashes and night sweats.
- The recommended dose is 45 mg orally once daily, with or without food.
- Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or split it.
- Take it at approximately the same time each day.
- If you miss a dose, take it when remembered unless fewer than 12 hours remain before the next scheduled dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule.
- Safety and effectiveness in individuals under 18 years of age have not been established.
- Evidence is limited in women aged 65 years and older.
- Use Menocool only as prescribed by your doctor.
Warning signs of liver injury: Stop taking Menocool and seek prompt medical attention if you develop nausea, vomiting, itching, yellowing of the skin or eyes, pale stools, dark urine, or pain in the upper-right abdomen.

✔️ Drug Interactions
Fezolinetant is metabolized through the CYP1A2 enzyme pathway. Medicines that inhibit CYP1A2 can increase fezolinetant levels in the blood. Concomitant use with CYP1A2 inhibitors is contraindicated. Inform your doctor about all medicines and supplements you take.
✔️ Menocool should not be used in women with:
- Known liver cirrhosis.
- Severe kidney impairment or end-stage renal disease.
- Concurrent use of CYP1A2 inhibitors.
- Known hypersensitivity to fezolinetant or any of the product's ingredients.
✔️ Side Effect
- Abdominal pain.
- Diarrhea.
- Difficulty sleeping.
- Back pain.
- Hot flashes.
✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation
There is insufficient information about the safety of fezolinetant during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Its effects on fetal development, breastfed infants, and milk production are not established. Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

- Liver monitoring is essential: Liver enzyme elevations and cases of liver injury have been reported.
- Liver function tests should be performed before starting treatment.
- Do not initiate treatment if ALT or AST levels are at least twice the upper limit of normal, or if total bilirubin is significantly elevated as specified in the prescribing information.
- Follow-up liver tests are recommended monthly for the first three months and again at months six and nine.
- Seek medical attention promptly if symptoms suggest liver problems.
