✔️ Itopid should not be used in patients who:

• Are allergic to Itopride Hydrochloride or any ingredient in the formulation.
• Have conditions where increased gastrointestinal movement may be harmful, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical obstruction, or intestinal perforation.

✔️ Directions for Use:

The usual adult dosage is 50 mg taken orally three times daily before meals. Dosage adjustments may be made depending on the patient's age and clinical condition.

• Elderly patients: Should be monitored closely, as they may be more susceptible to adverse effects. Dose reduction or discontinuation may be necessary if side effects occur.
• Children and adolescents: Safety and effectiveness have not been established; therefore, use is not recommended in individuals under 18 years of age.

✔️ Side Effects

• Serious allergic reactions, including shock and anaphylactoid reactions, may occur. Treatment should be stopped immediately if symptoms such as low blood pressure, breathing difficulty, throat swelling, hives, excessive sweating, or paleness develop.
• Liver dysfunction and jaundice have been reported. Patients should be monitored for elevated liver enzymes, and treatment should be discontinued if significant abnormalities occur.

✔️ Pregnancy & Lactation

• Pregnancy: Use only when the expected benefits outweigh potential risks, as adequate safety data in pregnant women are lacking.
• Breastfeeding: Not recommended due to insufficient information regarding its excretion into human breast milk.

✔️ Safety Information:

• Since Itopid enhances acetylcholine activity, it should be used carefully in susceptible patients.
• Long-term use is not advised if symptoms do not improve.
• Patients using blister-packed tablets should remove the tablet from the packaging before ingestion to avoid injury to the esophagus.

✔️ Storage:

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place away from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
