✔️ Dosage & Administration of Famodin Powder For Suspension 60ml

Adults

Peptic Ulcer Disease

• 40 mg once daily at bedtime for 4–8 weeks, or
• 20 mg twice daily
• Maintenance: 20 mg at bedtime to reduce recurrence

GERD

• 20 mg twice daily for 6–12 weeks
• Up to 40 mg twice daily if esophageal ulceration is present
• Maintenance: 20 mg twice daily

Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome

• Initial dose: 20 mg every 6 hours
• May be increased according to patient needs, up to 800 mg daily

Heartburn and Non-Ulcer Dyspepsia

• 10–20 mg once or twice daily

Pediatric Use

Peptic Ulcer Disease (1–16 years)

• 0.5 mg/kg once daily at bedtime
• Maximum: 40 mg daily

GERD

• Under 3 months: 0.5 mg/kg once daily
• 3–12 months: 0.5 mg/kg every 12 hours
• 1–16 years: 1 mg/kg daily in two divided doses
• Maximum single dose: 40 mg

Renal Dose Adjustment

Patients with significant kidney impairment (creatinine clearance below 50 mL/min) may require:

• A 50% dose reduction, or
• Extended dosing intervals of 36–48 hours
