Regular tablets: Take one tablet once or twice daily with plenty of water or as prescribed by a physician. Taking it with food improves absorption.
✔️ Side Effects of Coralcin DV
- Gastrointestinal irritation, including constipation
- Hypercalcemia (rare, but may occur in chronic kidney disease)
- Allergic reactions, irregular heartbeat, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, and drowsiness

- Thiazide diuretics: May reduce calcium excretion, increasing hypercalcemia risk. Regular monitoring is advised.

- Cardiac glycosides (e.g., Digoxin): High calcium levels may increase toxicity, necessitating ECG and serum calcium monitoring.
- Bisphosphonates and sodium fluoride: Take Coralcin-DV at least 3 hours before these medications to prevent reduced absorption.
- Oxalic acid (spinach, rhubarb) & phytic acid (whole grains): Can inhibit calcium absorption; avoid taking calcium supplements within 2 hours of consuming these foods.

✔️ Overdose Effects of Coralcin DV
Excess calcium and Vitamin D intake may result in hypercalcemia and hypervitaminosis D, causing:
- Nausea, vomiting, constipation, thirst, muscle weakness, mental disturbances
- Severe cases: Kidney damage, soft tissue calcification, cardiac arrhythmias, coma, or death
Discontinue calcium, rehydrate, and consider diuretics, bisphosphonates, calcitonin, or corticosteroids based on severity. Monitor electrolytes, kidney function, and ECG.

Pregnant women should not exceed 1500 mg of Calcium and 600 IU of Vitamin D daily. High doses may harm the fetus.
No evidence suggests that Vitamin D at therapeutic levels is harmful during pregnancy.
Safe during breastfeeding, but Vitamin D passes into breast milk, so additional supplementation should be carefully considered.
