Tioconazole is utilized for the local treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis (moniliasis). Its efficacy has been observed primarily against candidal vulvovaginitis. Confirmation of the diagnosis is recommended through KOH smears and/or cultures to exclude other microorganisms causing vulvovaginitis. Women on oral contraceptives have shown a similar cure rate to those not taking such agents when treated with Tioconazole.

Conasyd 1% Dermal Cream works by stopping the growth of fungi to relieve the symptoms you may have and clear the infection.
Occasional local transient and mild irritation. If hypersensitivity reactions develop, treatment should be discontinued, and appropriate therapy instituted.
Tioconazole is employed for the local treatment of vulvovaginal candidiasis (moniliasis). Confirmation of the diagnosis is recommended through KOH smears and/or cultures, focusing on candidal vulvovaginitis. Other microorganisms causing vulvovaginitis should be ruled out with appropriate tests. Studies have indicated a comparable cure rate for women taking oral contraceptives and those not taking such agents when treated with Tioconazole.
Tioconazole binds to 14-demethylase, a cytochrome P-450 enzyme, inhibiting ergosterol synthesis, a crucial component of yeast membranes. This action leads to increased cellular permeability. Tioconazole may also affect endogenous respiration, interact with membrane phospholipids, inhibit yeast transformation, and impede ion transport pathways.
Conasyd should not be administered with food. Studies have indicated a significant reduction in the bioavailability of isoniazid when administered with food.
Tioconazole is contraindicated in individuals sensitive to imidazole antifungal agents or other components of the ointment.
Pregnancy Category C: Use during pregnancy should be considered only if the potential benefits justify the potential risks to the fetus. Studies in animals have shown adverse effects, but controlled studies in women are not available.
Not for ophthalmic use.
Keep in a dry place away from light and heat. Keep out of the reach of children.
