✔️ Osmolax is indicated for the treatment of the following conditions:
- Chronic Constipation: Should be used when dietary fiber, fluids, and physical activity are insufficient.
- Intestinal Flora Disturbances: Especially after long-term antibiotic treatment.
- Gall Bladder Diseases.
- Intestinal Diseases: Including colitis, diverticulosis, and megacolon.
- Increased Blood Ammonia Levels: Such as in hepatopathy or portal-systemic encephalopathy.
✔️ Dosage & Administration
Chronic Constipation:
- Adults: 3-6 teaspoons daily initially, then 1½-6 teaspoons for long-term therapy.
- Children up to 14 years: 3 teaspoons initially, 1-2 teaspoons for long-term therapy.
- Infants and Toddlers: 1-2 teaspoons initially, then 1 teaspoon for long-term therapy.
Damaged Intestinal Flora:
- Adults: 1-2 teaspoons daily.
- Children: 1 teaspoon daily.
Reduction of Blood Ammonia Levels:
- Hyperammonemia in Hepatopathy: 18-30 teaspoons daily.
- Portal Systemic Encephalopathy: 6-9 teaspoons hourly until laxation is achieved, then reduce the dose.

- Common: Flatulence, cramps, and abdominal discomfort, especially at the start of treatment. These can be reduced by adjusting the dose.
