Use exactly as directed by your doctor.

Adults

Asthma

• Inhalation powder containing salmeterol 50 mcg with fluticasone propionate 100, 250, or 500 mcg:
  • One inhalation twice daily.
• Pressurized inhaler containing salmeterol 25 mcg with fluticasone propionate 50, 125, or 250 mcg:
  • Two inhalations twice daily.

COPD

• Inhalation powder containing salmeterol 50 mcg and fluticasone propionate 500 mcg:
  • One inhalation twice daily.

Children

Ages 4–12 years

• One inhalation twice daily of salmeterol 50 mcg/fluticasone 100 mcg inhalation powder, or
• Two inhalations twice daily of salmeterol 25 mcg/fluticasone 50 mcg pressurized inhaler.

Ages over 12 years

• Dosing is generally similar to adult recommendations.

Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors such as:

• Ritonavir
• Ketoconazole
• Itraconazole

Other beta-agonists

Concurrent use may increase cardiovascular and stimulant-related adverse effects.

✔️ Salflu 250 Rotacap should not be used:

• As primary treatment for status asthmaticus or severe acute asthma attacks.
• In patients with severe hypersensitivity to milk proteins.
• In individuals with known allergy to any component of the formulation.

✔️ Use with caution in patients with:

• Pulmonary tuberculosis
• Cardiovascular disease
• Heart rhythm disorders
• Diabetes mellitus
• Hyperthyroidism (thyrotoxicosis)
• Low potassium levels (hypokalemia)
• Osteoporosis risk factors, including:
  • Smoking
  • Advanced age
  • Sedentary lifestyle
  • Poor nutrition
  • Family history of osteoporosis
  • Long-term corticosteroid use

Additional precautions:

• Do not stop treatment abruptly; dosage reduction should be gradual under medical supervision.
• Children receiving prolonged therapy should have regular growth monitoring.
• Blood potassium levels may require periodic monitoring.
• The first dose should ideally be taken under medical supervision due to the rare risk of bronchospasm.
