Diatrol MR 30 Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. It belongs to a group of medicines called sulfonylureas, which help control blood sugar levels to prevent complications such as kidney damage and blindness. Diatrol MR 30 can be used alone or with other medications. It should be taken with food, preferably at the same time each day.
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Diatrol MR 30.

Diatrol MR 30 Tablet works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas. It stimulates insulin secretion from the pancreas and decreases blood sugar levels.
Gliclazide works by stimulating insulin secretion from the pancreas, reducing glucose production by the liver, and increasing insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues. It also decreases microthrombosis by partially inhibiting platelet aggregation and adhesion and by increasing tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA) activity.
