- Alpha-lipoic acid is naturally produced in the body and also found in foods like red meat, spinach, broccoli, carrots, beets, and potatoes.
- Acts as a strong antioxidant, protecting nerve and brain tissue from oxidative damage.
- Helps break down carbohydrates and generate energy.
- Supports nerve health, particularly in diabetic neuropathy, reducing pain, tingling, burning, and numbness in the limbs.
- May help lower blood sugar levels by influencing glucose transport and insulin sensitivity.
- Its antioxidant action includes metal chelation, regenerating vitamins C and E, and modulating cellular signaling pathways.
