Vonozan 10 Tablet 1 Strip

✔️ Vonozan is prescribed for managing:

• Gastric and duodenal ulcers
• Reflux esophagitis
• Prevention of ulcer recurrence during use of low-dose aspirin or NSAIDs
• As part of triple therapy for Helicobacter pylori eradication in gastric/duodenal ulcers, MALT lymphoma, ITP, post-endoscopic gastric cancer resection, or H. pylori gastritis

✔️ Dosage & Administration

• Gastric ulcer: 20 mg once daily for 8 weeks
• Duodenal ulcer: 20 mg once daily for 6 weeks
• Reflux esophagitis: 20 mg once daily for 4–8 weeks
• Maintenance of esophagitis: 10 mg once daily (may increase to 20 mg if necessary)
• Ulcer prevention (aspirin/NSAID): 10 mg once daily

H. pylori eradication:

First-line: Vonozan 20 mg + Amoxicillin 750 mg + Clarithromycin 200 mg – twice daily for 7 days

Second-line (if needed): Vonozan 20 mg + Amoxicillin 750 mg + Metronidazole 250 mg – twice daily for 7 days

Can be taken with or without food.

Elderly: Use with caution due to potential organ function decline

Children under 18: Not recommended (safety not established)

Renal Impairment:

Mild–Moderate (eGFR 30–89): No dose change

Severe (eGFR <30): Avoid use

Hepatic Impairment:

Mild (Child-Pugh A): No adjustment needed

Moderate–Severe (Child-Pugh B/C): Avoid use

✔️ Common adverse effects include:

• Gastrointestinal: Diarrhea, constipation, nausea, abdominal bloating
• Liver-related: Elevated liver enzymes (AST, ALT, GGT, ALP), jaundice
• Others: Rash, urticaria, edema, drug hypersensitivity, eosinophilia

✔️ Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Vonoprazan or any excipients

Concurrent use with Atazanavir, Nelfinavir, or Rilpivirine

✔️ Use in Pregnancy & Lactation

Vonozan should only be used during pregnancy if the benefits outweigh potential risks. If necessary during breastfeeding, consider stopping nursing.

✔️ Precautions & Warnings

• Use the lowest effective dose based on disease severity.
• In long-term use, monitor with endoscopy.
• Reserve maintenance therapy for patients with recurrent esophagitis.
• Consider dose reduction or discontinuation if healing is sustained.

Store below 30°C in a dry, cool, and light-protected place. Keep away from children.
