Indications of Nebanol Plus 10 Ointment
It is a combination drug called Nebanol Plus. It is used to treat different fungus-related skin infections. By combating the infection-causing microorganisms, it reduces skin infection symptoms like redness, swelling, itching, etc. Nebanol Plus should only be applied externally, and you should follow your doctor's instructions.
Pharmacology of Nebanol Plus 10 Ointment
The ideal topical antibacterial arrangement is most closely achieved by Polymyxin B sulfate, Neomycin, and Bacitracin zinc. The three anti-microbials are bactericidal, and their range of activity essentially encompasses all pathogenic microbes discovered topically. When applied topically, Polymyxin B sulfate with Neomycin and Bacitracin zinc may occasionally cause chafing, but skin or mucous layer retention is of little consequence. Gram-negative bacteria, including clinically isolated strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, are attacked by polymyxin B sulfate. This living thing is conspicuously absent from the spectrum of the majority of other anti-microbial agents, but it is utterly defenseless against polymyxin B sulfate, which is acknowledged as the most effective agent for the treatment and prevention of Pseudomonas diseases. Neomycin exhibits bactericidal activity against a variety of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms, including numerous Proteus strains. According to various experts, neomycin is the most potent anti-microbial against Staphylococcus aureus, one of the more prevalent aetiological organisms in topical bacterial diseases. Bacitracin zinc extends the range of this treatment's antibacterial activity to include hemolytic streptococci and is incredibly effective against gram-positive bacilli and cocci. These three anti-microbials overlap their bactericidal spectra, resulting in increased movement due to their combined anti-microbial activity.

As with other antibiotic preparations prolonged use may result in the overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms. Ototoxicity to neomycin has been reported. In neonates and infants, absorption by immature skin may be enhanced and renal function may be immature.
