Dermasol-N Cream (Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% + Neomycin Sulphate 0.5% + Nystatin BP 1,00,000 IU). is indicated in the treatment of recalcitrant eczemas, neurodermatitis, and psoriasis (excluding widespread plaque psoriasis) where the secondary bacterial or fungal infection is present, suspected, or likely. Other inflammatory conditions do not respond well to less potent steroids.
Dermasol-N Cream is not recommended for use in pregnancy unless considered clearly necessary. Contact your doctor before applying.
Dermasol-N Cream should be used with caution in breastfeeding women as it is not known whether it may pass through the breast milk. Contact your doctor before applying.

Dermasol-N Cream should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Contact your doctor before applying.

As Clobetasol has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive qualities that prevent the synthesis of specific chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that cause the skin to become red, puffy, and itchy, it is used in Dermasol-N Cream to treat infections. Neomycin is an antibiotic that prevents the growth of bacteria in the skin, whereas Miconazole is an antifungal that prevents the growth of fungus.
Acute overdosage is extremely unlikely. There have been no reports of overdose-related problems. However, in the case of chronic overdosage or misuse, the symptoms of hypercortisolism may appear, and in this case, topical steroids should be gradually discontinued.
If you or anyone else accidentally uses too much Dermasol-N Cream, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
When secondary bacterial or candidal infection is present, suspected, or likely to arise, as when using occlusive dressings, Clobetasol/Neomycin/Nystatin Cream is suggested. These dermatoses include persistent eczemas and psoriasis (apart from extensive plaque psoriasis).
Clobetasol Propionate is a potent corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory properties. Clobetasol Propionate's main effect on the skin is a non-specific anti-inflammatory response, which is caused by vasoconstriction and a decrease in collagen synthesis.
Neomycin Sulphate is an aminoglycoside antibiotic with a broad spectrum of action that is used to treat bacterial infections. It inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the ribosomal 30s and 50s subunits of susceptible bacteria. Neomycin also causes a misreading of the mRNA template's genetic codes, resulting in the incorporation of incorrect amino acids into the growing polypeptide chain.
Nystatin is an antifungal medicine that kills fungi and yeasts by interfering with their cell membranes.
The primary action of this preparation is based on the corticosteroid's anti-inflammatory activity. The combination of Neomycin and Nystatin provides broad-spectrum antibacterial and anti-candidal activity, allowing this effect to be used in the treatment of conditions that are or are likely to become infected.

Following significant systemic absorption, neomycin sulfate can intensify and prolong the respiratory depressant effects of neuromuscular blocking agents. However, if used as directed, systemic exposure to Neomycin Sulphate is expected to be low, and drug interactions are unlikely to be significant. There have been no reports of dangerous interactions with Clobetasol Propionate or Nystatin.
This medication is contraindicated in rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, primary cutaneous viral infection (eg-Herpes simplex, chicken pox), and hypersensitivity to the preparation.
