Avert Plus combines the therapeutic effects of Meclizine and Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6):
Meclizine is an antihistamine with anticholinergic and antivertigo properties. It reduces excitability in the inner ear’s labyrinth and inhibits conduction in vestibular pathways, thereby relieving dizziness, vertigo, and motion-induced nausea.
Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) is an essential nutrient involved in neurotransmitter synthesis (including GABA) and metabolic processes of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. It exerts anti-nausea and antiemetic effects, particularly beneficial in pregnancy-related nausea.

✔️ Avert Plus is indicated for the management of:
- Vertigo associated with vestibular disorders
- Motion sickness
- Nausea and vomiting of various origins, including:
- Morning sickness during pregnancy
- Radiation sickness
- Drug-induced nausea (e.g., oral contraceptives, estrogen therapy)
✔️ Dosage & Administration
Adults
- Motion Sickness: 25–50 mg Meclizine, taken 1 hour before travel, repeat every 24 hours if required.
- Vertigo / Vestibular Disorders: 25–100 mg daily, in divided doses. Discontinue if no response after 1–2 weeks.
- Radiation Sickness: 50 mg Meclizine taken 2–12 hours prior to radiation exposure.
- Pyridoxine: 50–200 mg daily (dose adjusted based on need and response).
Children (<12 years):
Safety and efficacy have not been established.
Administration: May be taken with or without food.

✔️ Interaction
Additive CNS depressant effect when used with alcohol, sedatives, tranquilizers, anticholinergics, or neuroleptics.
Avoid concurrent use with other sedating medications to prevent excessive drowsiness.
✔️ Storage:
Store below 30°C, in a cool, dry place, away from light and moisture.
Keep out of reach of children.
