✔️ Uses of Spinosad 0.9% | Freescab

Freescab Topical Suspension contains spinosad, a topical antiparasitic medicine used to treat scabies and head lice infestations.

Scabies: Freescab is indicated for the topical treatment of scabies in adults and children aged 4 years and above.

Head Lice: It is also used for the topical treatment of head lice in adults and children aged 6 months and older.

✔️ Side Effects

During scabies treatment:

• Application-site irritation
• Dry skin

During head-lice treatment:

• Redness at the application site
• Eye redness, particularly if the product accidentally comes into contact with the eyes

Most reactions are mild and localized. Seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling, or an allergic reaction develops.

✔️ Drug Interactions

Spinosad has very little systemic absorption, so clinically significant interactions with oral medicines are unlikely.

Using Freescab together with other topical products, such as corticosteroids or retinoids, may increase the possibility of skin irritation or sensitivity at the application site. Inform your doctor about any other topical or prescription medicines you are using.

✔️ Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Pregnant women should consult their doctor before using Freescab. Because topical spinosad is minimally absorbed into the bloodstream, significant exposure of a breastfed infant is not expected.

Breastfeeding mothers should thoroughly wash the medicine from the breast with soap and water before breastfeeding if the product has been applied to or near the breast area.
